Job Description (JD):
- Operating cash registers, scanners, and other related equipment.
- Handling cash transactions, including accepting payments, giving change, and processing refunds.
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and balancing cash drawers.
- Resolving customer complaints or directing them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Following all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.
- Maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
- Collaborating with other team members to achieve store goals and targets.
- Adhering to security procedures to prevent theft and losses.
- Providing assistance in other areas of the store as needed.
Job Specification (JS):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer literacy for operating cash registers and other equipment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Integrity and trustworthiness in handling cash and sensitive customer information.
